Toys R Us
You want to buy toys from a retailer with real range and scale, but many South African toy shops feel small or limited in what they actually stock.
That's what Toys R Us rebuilt itself to offer: access to all the major toy brands under one roof.
What they do
Toys R Us is the globally famous toy retailer that's returned to South Africa under license, offering a selection of leading toy brands (Lego, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Fisher-Price, Playmobil, and others). The model focuses on quality over quantity: stocking the toys that actually matter rather than overwhelming choice.
If you're shopping for educational toys, collectibles, vehicles, building sets or seasonal gift guides, it's worth seeing what deals are currently happening in Babies & Toys on The Real Deal.

What makes them different
Toys R Us operates at a different scale to most toy shops in South Africa. The buying power and brand relationships mean they stock a deeper range within each major category and often have exclusive editions or limited releases. That matters if you're looking for a specific toy line. You're more likely to find it at Toys R Us than at smaller retailers.
The other differentiator is curation. Rather than stocking everything made, Toys R Us focuses on the toys that actually sell and perform. That means less noise when you're browsing and better advice from staff who know what works.
